Top Tips for Bridal Makeup

Your bridal makeup is only as good as your skin

Do you have to have perfect skin for your makeup to be perfect? - No. Everyone has and experiences pores, texture, breakouts and fine lines or wrinkles. What I mean by good skin; is good skin starts with taking care of it. Drinking water, wearing sunscreen, staying out of the sun, keeping it hydrated and following a skincare routine with products that actually work - not what is going viral on socials.

My DO’s for your best skin for bridal makeup

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Limit alcohol - it causes inflammation & redness

  • Wear sunscreen daily - you skin is affected by the sun even indoors

  • Start a skincare routine sooner than later

  • Use a vitamin c eye cream - it helps brighten undereyes & softens fine lines

  • Start a facial routine - I highly recommend Meeshelle at Toccare Day Spa

My DON’T’S for your skin

  • Fall for the latest viral skincare on socials - everyone’s skin is different and responds differently to products

  • Pick your pimple before your makeup appointment - makeup can cover a white head not a scab

  • Drink a ton at your rehearsal - your skin will be drier, redder & swollen

  • Go to sleep with your makeup on
